Finally...............a quilt finish

This quilt top is over a year old. I went a little overboard cutting bricks so I've been able to make several of these quilts. One more and I'll be done with the Bricks and Stepping Stones.
This is a Bonnie Hunter pattern except I think she used 2" squares instead of the 2 1/2" that I have used.

Zipper Purses Done

Here are some of the dozen zipper purses I finished today. I like that they are lined and there are no raw seams on the inside.

Hey, Second Post in One Day

11 recycled books. I did as many as I felt like cutting pages for. The covers measure 4" x 4", the pages are 3 13/16" square. The neat gadget that punches the holes and then bends the wires closed is a Bind it All.

Candy Bar Snowmen

I made these for a craft fair next Saturday. I agreed to share a table which might not have been a good idea. How much can I produce in this short a time? I do have some socks made but not a whole lot else.  One good thing: there won't be a table fee.

Testing 1.2.3

I'm having problems getting pictures from the camera to the pc. Now I'm going to try to get them from my ipad to my blog post.
This picture is from 20 years ago when I attended Grandparent's Day at BRES.

Finally, another finish

This was a weekend mystery that I got finished on the following Wednesday. Then it took probably another 8 months to get it quilted and bound.

Days for Girls project

I've been working on this project off and on for a couple of months: daysforgirls.org

This uses up the flannel I had on hand (I have since received a tote of flannel which I'll get working on as soon as I get to the laundromat to get it washed and dried.
I'll be sending:
27 shields
30 drawstring bags
100 regular menstrual pads
27 post partum pads

Quilts for tornado victims in Kentucky and Indiana

This is when I feel I really should have done more to follow through on my New Year's resolutions. I could have had a lot more quilts to send to the tornado victims. These are the 6 I have on hand that I'll be sending tomorrow. These have already appeared here on my blog as they were finished, probably in December and January.

Baby Charity Knits

The blue hats and sockies were made on the 965 using Baby Jacquard. The pink hats made on the bulky using Simply Soft. I'm sending them to Florida for the January project for AC4C.

Recycling

I recently bought a nifty little machine called a Bind it All. It punches holes and then it squeezes the wire loops together to make a neat little book.

Another Scrap Afghan

This is number 2 of the Knots on Front Afghans. I'm taking a break for awhile because most of my fun colors are used up. There will be more and it will be sooner than I think.

These mittens were made on the Bulky 270 using one strand of sport weight yarn and one strand of variegated sock yarn.

Using up Yarn Stash

I started this "Knots on Front Afghan" yesterday. Finished it today.

I have 3 smallish cardboard boxes with small balls of knitting worsted left over from the 100 hats project. I still probably have enough left for another afghan. I'll work on that before I switch projects and start on the pink and blue baby hats for the military hospital.

Oh dear, I should be working on quilts. I'll be getting back to them as soon as I get my fill of machine knitting.
