Finally, a finish

Here's a twined rag rug. I'm trying to get a couple done before I start going to Boothbay Railway Village, probably sometime in June. I have been very good at starting things. Finishing- not so good.

Pioneer Gloves

I think the name of these is what convinced me. Found the pattern on Ravelry, made with sock yarn. They are very stretchy.

What's it been? Durn near 2 years!!

OK, let's try this again. What happened to those last two years? I can't see how some people can blog 4 or 5 times a day when I have trouble with one a year.

This time I really mean it! I am going to use my blog so I can see my finishes for 2019. Actually, this rug is my first finish for the year. On December 27, I came down with a cold and didn't feel even halfway ok until January 25th. What a waste of good crafting time.

First finish of 2017

I'm going to be better this year. This is a Sharon HeartString and I must admit that I really do like it. I'm going to really do some serious finishing rather than just starting and leaving things unfinished.

Latest Quilt Finish

Not much to say except this is the third quilt (out of 4) that I quilted in July.

Two Quilts Finished

Finally something to post. I quilted these in July and did the binding yesterday. These will probably go to Outreach to Appalachia. It was finally cool enough to do some sewing. The flying geese quilt is made from a kit that someone gave me. Actually I got two pretty good size quilts from that kit. The second one will be finished soon.
I have finished some rag mats that I'll be taking on my monthly trip to the Boothbay Railway Village tomorrow where I'll be demonstrating twined rag rugs.

Family

Today I attended a memorial service for my cousin. It was nice to catch up with 9 of my cousins - 3 first cousins and 6 first cousins, once removed. They came from New York, Vermont, and various places here in Maine. It's really a shame we never get together under better circumstances. When my grandmother was alive, once a year without fail, we would have a family reunion. It was good times.
